Typical Ratskeller, rustic with regional cuisine, as one knows and wishes for Ratsschenken. Was overcrowded when we visited and we found accommodation in the next room. There we were served in a friendly and courteous manner. The price-performance ratio is right.

We are frequent guests here, be it for cocktails with friends or for dinner with the family. We have always been satisfied so far and can only recommend this restaurant. Prices are fair and the ambience is great, there's space here and it's never overcrowded. Regarding the staff we are unfortunately a bit disappointed on Sunday, October 18th, 2020 Usually we are always served in a super friendly manner by a young service employee (with a few tattoos). He is always in a good mood and is super ambitious. Unfortunately this time we had a different service person, unfortunately nothing worked here this time. We only got one menu, the cutlery was missing with the meal and unfortunately there was a small collision with the hand and the tray, whereby the water fell over the table and everything including us got wet. Here I thought it was a shame that 2 tea towels were brought to us quite unkindly and we then had to clean up the "damage" ourselves. (Always happy, everyone has a bad day) but here I felt quite undesirable as a guest. Nevertheless, I hope it was just a bad day and we will definitely be happy to come back. A little addendum, the beer is way too warm every time, maybe you could remedy this;)

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. It was our turn at 9:15 p.m., we were kindly informed that the kitchen would close at 9:30 p.m. and that we should please hurry up, was not a problem, it was your own fault. Food came 10-15 minutes later - very hot! Just made fresh. Drinks were great too, had the homemade lemon iced tea, just bombshell! Will be happy to eat there again ?

Great service and organization. Food came quickly and was great. Unfortunately they haven't had a second potato salad with the schnitzel.

Great food and beautiful restaurant!

Beer was delicious. We were served quickly and nicely, but the food wasn't really good. The Käsespätzle were tasteless, more under-cooked spaetzle than cheese spaetzle. Maultaschen tasted okay, the fried potatoes too oily.

The Ratskeller in Augsburg is very nicely situated due to its direct location in the town hall and the restaurant itself is nicely furnished and invites you to linger. However, I find the price-performance ratio inadequate here. The food is very manageable, but you have to pay a lot of money for it. In my opinion, the size of the dishes can be expanded. Here I can only recommend the tarte flambée, which is really delicious and also reasonably large. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. I found the service very unfriendly. Nevertheless, the Ratskaller is a decent restaurant, not least thanks to its beautiful location and atmosphere.

Super nice waiters! Although we hadn't made a reservation and there was therefore no free table outside, we sat inside first. As soon as we had ordered, the waiter came and led us outside to a table that had become vacant! The food was there very quickly and delicious! Very good price / performance ratio

Excellent typical Bavarian restaurant. Friendly staff. Reservations are recommended because the place is always quite crowded. Located in the municipality of Augusta, the restaurant has high exposed masonry vaults.

Unfortunately, very stuffy employees, complain about every little thing. I recommend every other restaurant close by. In addition, the service is very rude and disrespectful to the guests. I would like to give 0 stars, unfortunately this is not possible. A little tip: Please change or educate your staff correctly.

Were here for the first time today. Corona regulations implemented very well. Staff super friendly. Food very very good. Toilets are very clean.

Typical german restaurant under Augsburger Rathaus with very good german food and nice atmosphere.

This restaurant is a must for every traveler who comes to Augsburg. The historical building combined with modern architecture creates a wonderful atmosphere. The service was magnificent and the food is fantastic! This is the best opportunity to try original Bavarian cuisine with rich flavours and well portioned plates at the same time. I will definitely go there again!

Affordable Bavarian food right in the City Center of Augsburg. The food is yummy, the portions big, the price okay (dishes ranging from arouns 6€ to 16€). The atmosphere is great! Enough seats for everyone and their mum. Nice service. Okay cocktails

Nice location for a restaurant, bit noisy due to the construction and exposed brick domed ceiling but it's pretty to look at. Good selection of German fare, very tasty and we'll prepared. Good beer and reasonable prices.

Nice traditional Deutich restaurant.

One of the best veal schnitzel (veal) I ever had. Everything was absolutely tasteful here in the traditional Bavarian restaurant (Traditionally German food in the this federal state of Germany). The atmosphere took you back in time in a modern way. The service was outstanding. There was a mix of visitors, some tourists but mostly locals.

Best Happy Hour ever

Creepy lighting & pre-cooked food heated in the microwave made the pork shank (Schweinshaxe) very forgettable. Ambience is that of a huge dungeon, tho with friendly staff. Not a reorder for this customer. Same seems to be the case with other German eateries in Augsburg.

I was in Augsburg on business and the client suggested the Rathskeller and man it was wonderful! What a great vibe when you walk inside and with it being a little dark and a little noisy, it created the perfect atmosphere for a great evening of food, drinks and fun! I had such a great time and the food and beer were oh so good!!! I'll need to make a trip back to Augsburg at some point in the future so I can check out the Rathskeller once again! :)
